Trent Reznor Wins an Oscar!

Though it wasn't all that surprising (even in a night that was completely free of twists), the Oscar victory for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Best Original Score on Sunday night [for The Social Network] (February 27) was no less satisfying to the rock community. Reznor has been a part of the conversation since he founded Nine Inch Nails more than two decades ago, and he (along with longtime collaborator Ross) has come a long way since his early days.

New Omaha Band, The Wreckage, Has Some Familiar Faces



Things are heating up for new Omaha band, The Wreckage.

They launched their Facebook page late last week and already have 3 gigs scheduled.

You may recognize some of the members as being part of some really popular and influential bands in the Omaha scene.

Matt Denker - drums (previously in Emphatic)
Grant Kendrick - vocals (previously in Suicide Angels)
Mark Beckenhauer - guitar (previously in Eyes Catch Fire)
Eric Whitney - (previously in Venaculas)
Thomas Canick

Keep your eyes and ears open folks, because the combination of these five gents will have some incredible musical results. Of that I am 100% sure. And you wouldn't want to miss out, now would you?

Edisun Returns to Nebraska!



Connecticut band Edisun is getting ready to kick off their first headlining tour. They loved us in Nebraska so much the last two times they played here that they are coming back through!

Thursday, March 3rd - Knickerbockers in Lincoln, NE
Friday, March 4th - The Garage in Kearney, NE

This rad bunch-o-blokes put on an awesome set and do a bad ass cover of The Beatles' "Helter Skelter". Plan to check them out! You won't be disappointed.
