Pantera to Release "Best Of" CD

Rhino Records has announced that a new "Best Of" CD from Pantera called "1990-2000: A Decade Of Domination" will be released on March 30th. Oddly enough it will be available only at Walmart stores. Pantera? Exclusively at Walmart? That doesn't even sound right, does it?

Check out 30 Seconds to Mars performing an old school favorite "Buddha For Mary" to a sold out crowd at Wembley Stadium in London on February 23rd. The band left the main stage to do the song on a mini-stage in the center of arena. SICK!

After more than 13 years in the music business, Florida rockers Nonpoint aren't ready to throw in the towel just yet. That vibe is carried over into the track 'Miracle,' the title track and first single from the album that hits stores April 27. The song will be available on iTunes and other online retailers March 30.

"A few days ago I was asked to give a quote about this song that I think summed it up pretty good," lead singer Elias Soriano told Noisecreep. "'Just when you think I can't anymore ... When you think it's the end of the fight left inside of me ... When you've written me off for defeat or even disaster ... I will show you a miracle.' In other words, watch out world, we're not finished with you by a long shot."

Red's Duran Duran Cover of "Ordinary World"

Nashville, TN band Red have released a new single off their 2009 record "Innocence & Instinct" called "Ordinary World". The song was originally recorded by the band Duran Duran in the early 90s and peaked at number three on American charts.

Who?

I will always love The Who, but I wasn't all that impressed with their half-time performance at the 2010 Super Bowl. Being THE mutha 'effin WHO I would think a more seasoned, flawless performance would have occurred. I'm hearing it was a bad mix, no inner-ear sound, etc., etc. Okay. But still... Roger's voice sounded decent enough, but wtf was up with Townshend? His vocals and guitar were just sloppy in my opinion.

Anyway...at least Zak Starkey was on drums. He sounded sweet. I bet his papa Ringo was proud.

30 Seconds to Mars Bomb Scare At The Hive

30 Seconds to Mars invited fans to come to their headquarters "The Hive" on Thursday, February 4th to view footage of the documentary they are putting together. As Jared was prefacing the viewing with some words a man interrupted the event by barging in with a package. By all accounts the man was not in a stable state-of-mind and had made reference to explosives. He was apprehended by Jared and detained until authorities could arrive and asses the situation. Luckily, the package didn't contain explosives, rather a blender and candy. Truly odd. Here is a video of the incident as well as one with Jared addressing what happened after the fact.
