30 Seconds to Mars Cover Lady GaGa's "Bad Romance"
I am not a fan of Lady GaGa. I think she is wasting the talent she has on pop crap which is disheartening. Disheartening that she isn't true to what she has been blessed with. Disheartening that if she was she probably wouldn't be as successful as she is now because what she is doing now (Outrageous outfits and sticky pop beats) is what the mass of the population wants. Sad. That said, her visuals are pretty cool. Make-up is always amazing. And her lyrics when taken out of the synth crap context are pretty poignant.
Imagine my surprise this Monday morning when I see Shannon and Tomo talk about their "Bad Romance" cover on the BBC.
Verdict: I LOVE IT!
But I love it because they put their touch on it. This version is ALL 30 Seconds to Mars. Jared's voice. Tomo's guitar. Shannon's drumming. They made the song affecting. One of the many reasons I adore this band intensely.

Hi Tonya, it's Deb! Love reading your blog. I can’t say I disagree with some of what you say about lady gaga, BUT my friend, how can you not say the same about 30stm?? They have made themselves like everybody else. Such a departure from original rock to teenybop! You still see them as they were,not what they have become. You're in denial girl!
